Martial arts and fitness levels

Most martial arts like judo, karate, taekwondo require a lot of physical activity as the players try to overpower each other and win the game . Since a lot of exertion is required in a relatively short span of time, each bout of the martial arts sport like boxing is only a few minutes long.
After each bout the player is allowed to relax for some time and recover his or her energy and stamina. So like all competitive sports, those specializing in martial arts should have high fitness levels
